Marijo Samneh Quote 1

A lot of women suffer from abusive unhealthy relationships, in which they get locked up due to their financial conditions. By educating young ladies, we can increase their chances of living an independent, self-reliant, happy and decent life.

Marijo Samneh Quote 7

Be the CEO your mother wanted you to marry!

As we celebrate women entrepreneurs’ day, I can’t help but think about the huge amount of pressure women still face to get married to someone successful, especially in this part of the world.

I still remember how my parents used to make fun of me because I studied a lot, specifically during the time I was conducting my master’s degrees.

They thought it was pointless for me to continue my education as I already got my law degree, and that it would be much better to focus on marrying a successful man to secure my future, let alone the society around me!

I only got married at the age of 31, and I did it not because of all the pressure I was put under, but because I was convinced that if it wasn’t him, it won’t be anyone else.

I always insisted on being my own source of strength, instead of looking for it somewhere else.

To all the young ladies reading this post, you can surely be that CEO they all wanted you to rely on. You can be the powerful person they all want you to hide behind.

She’s so lucky – by Marijo Samneh

“She is so lucky!

In reality, it looks more like:

🗣 She never quit, even when it got too challenging.
🤓 She worked late nights and long week ends to get closer to her goals.
⛹‍♀️ She overcame her limits, in the face of the people who doubted her.
💪 She learned from her mistakes instead of surrendering to them.
👩‍🎓 She invested in herself, especially in education.

Hard working women are often labeled as “lucky.”
However, why don’t we pause for a moment and think, “she’s the one who created her own luck.”

Groupthink – by Marijo Samneh

We all agree that Lebanon has reached its current stage, mainly due to its corrupt political class.
However, if we take a closer look as to how politicians dared to go this far, “Groupthink” is what comes to our minds.
They must have felt untouchable, and above the law.
Don’t you think they have undermined every person stepping their way?
Weren’t they all convinced they could get away with everything they’ve done?
Didn’t they all choose to hire advisors who would never confront them with the reality or give them negative feedback?
